LIFT-NL (Literacy Innovations for Today) has been an exciting collaboration between teachers, university faculty, supporting community members, local authors, Department of Education, public and independent schools, and public library personnel. Together, we promote an appreciation of reading, writing and numeracy education and a lifelong love of literacies and best practices. We are interested in recognizing the significant contributions and achievements in literacy and numeracy in Newfoundland and Labrador, while advocating for policies and practices that support the very best for all learners. We continue with a focus on learning and teaching in  Kindergarten to Grade Six classroom settings, with broad-ranging workshops addressing all aspects of the literacies domain.
