Friday sessions will be held  at Holiday Inn and Saturday Institutes will take place at The Faculty of Education, MUN.

Now in its second year, the LIFT-NL Conference (Literacy Innovations for Today) is a wonderful gathering of literacy educators, publishers and researchers in the field of language and literacy from across the country.  The LIFT Conference is deliberately designed to celebrate K-6 classroom teachers in Newfoundland Labrador.  Many of the workshops offered at the conference are presentations by classroom educators.  Additionally, well-known researchers and speakers from the field of literacy will be offering presentations as part of the event and these include Jennifer Serravalo, Marian Small, Larry Swartz, David Tranter, Josée Bisaillon and David Costello.  On Saturday, LIFT will once again be hosting six specialized institutes and these are exciting opportunities for teachers to spend time with one presenter and learn about specific strategies in assessment, pedagogy and programming.  On Thursday evening, Sept. 22nd from 6-8pm, LIFT will be offering a community-wide Family Literacy Night with visiting authors, illustrators and publishers celebrating literacy together.

LIFT-2022 will follow all Public Health COVID directives/recommendations by the Chief Medical Officer of NL.  An update on COVID protocols will come as the conference date comes closer
